I've joined two friends who enjoy a fast paced walk from my neighborhood, Garden Home, through residential streets and trails to a coffee shop in Multnomah Village. Our route passes through Maplewood where an open jawed wolf sculpture stands guard.

Neighbors frequently feed the wolf sticks and flowers

I pose the tiger with the found bolt, my subject for the week.
When an unusual bolt was picked up off the ground it somehow became the subject of a still life that I have now challenged myself to replicate throughout the week.

I staged the second photo of the series at Maplewood's coffee shop. For color I picked out a plastic tiger from a toy bin meant to entertain children. But what to do with the bolt? Feed it to the tiger, of course.

I meant to return the traveling bolt to road where I found it a week ago. I missed this opportunity on our walk today. So the bolt now rests with other miscellaneous bolts in a drawer dedicated to similar mysteries.

Lost bolt joins other mysteries.
